Mission

Praise the Lord. Many brothers and sisters at ECCC, by the calling of God, actively participate in the missionary work all over the world. Our local gospel ministry includes our bi-monthly Gospel Nights and Seattle Gospel Center. In addition, we have established overseas missionary fields in the Far East, South America, Taiwan, Cambodia, and India.

Fellowship

There are more than ten Bible study and fellowship groups at ECCC. We study God's words together and learn how to serve in the church body.

Sunday School

We put a lot of emphasis on Bible studies. As we build up our knowledge of the Bible, we may be transformed by the renewing of our mind. Then we will be able to test and approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will.

We offer adult Bible classes, Junior and High School Sunday school, Primary Sunday school.

Sunday Worship

We have adult worship, junior and high school worship, and primary worship. The adult worship is bilingual (in English and Chinese) whereas the others are in English.

Serving

Our brothers and sisters learn to co-work, become parts of a body through various services so that we may grow both in knowledge and in spirit.

Church services include: worships, communion, Sunday schools, library, multimedia, website, literature, ushering, visiting and caring, fellowships, accounting, building maintenance, gardening, traffic/parking, kids care, refreshments, meals, and purchasing, ...etc.

Church History

Eastside Christian Community Church, located in Bellevue (east of Seattle), was started in 1981 when a group of brothers and sisters, who lived in the Eastside, after prayer started spreading the gospel and practicing spiritual equipment and discipleship. We registered as a nonprofit organization in Washington State in 1985. We believe in the Bible and Jesus Christ. Our church does not belong to any denomination and our church members come from different backgrounds. We welcome you to join us to worship and fellowship together so that we may spread the salvation of Jesus Christ.

Church Vision

Christ is All and in all. He is also head of the body, the church.

“Put on the new self who is being renewed to a true knowledge according to the image of the One who created him 11 a renewal in which there is no distinction between Greek and Jew, circumcised and uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave and freeman, but Christ is all, and in all.” (Colossians 3:10-11)

“For He delivered us from the domain of darkness, and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son, 14 in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. 15 And He is the image of the invisible God, the first-born of all creation. 16 For by Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities -- all things have been created by Him and for Him. 17 And He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together. 18 He is also head of the body, the church; and He is the beginning, the first-born from the dead; so that He Himself might come to have first place in everything.” (NAS - Colossians 1:13-18)

Church Mission

Inward: Come to Me, Take My yoke upon you, and Learn from Me.

“Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take My yoke upon you, and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you shall find rest for your souls. 30 For My yoke is easy, and My load is light.” (NAS - Matthew 11:28-30)

Outward: Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations.

“And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age."”(NAS - Matthew 28:18-20)

Our Faith

As the redeemed, saved by God's grace, we believe in, and hold fast to, the following:
  1. We believe in one God, eternally existing in three Persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit; and these three are the same in substance, equal in power and glory.
  2. We believe in the Scriptures of the Old and the New Testaments as verbally and fully inspired by God and inerrant in the original writing, and that they are of supreme and final authority in faith and life.
  3. We believe that Jesus Christ was begotten by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, and is true God and true man.
  4. We believe that man was created in the image of God; that he sinned, and thereby incurred, not only physical death but also spiritual death which is separation from God; and that human beings are born with a sinful nature, and, in the case of those who reach moral responsibility, become sinners in thought, word and deed.
  5. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins; according to the Scriptures, as a representative and substitutionary sacrifice; and that all who believe in Him are justified on the ground of His shed blood.
  6. We believe in the resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord, in His ascension into Heaven, and in His present life there for us, as High Priest and Advocate.
  7. We believe in the deity and personality of the Holy Spirit, who convicts the sinner, regenerates, indwells, enlightens and guides the believers.
  8. We believe that all who receive by faith the Lord Jesus Christ are born again by the Holy Spirit, and thereby become children of God.
  9. We believe on “that blessed hope” the personal and pre-millennial and imminent return of our Lord and Savor, Jesus Christ.
  10. We believe in the bodily resurrection of the just and the unjust; the everlasting blessedness of the saved, and the everlasting punishment of the lost.
